Job Title: Tree Climber

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Tree Climber to join our team. As a Tree Climber, you will be responsible for safely climbing trees to prune, trim, and remove branches, or sometimes entire trees. You’ll work closely with a team of ground crew members to ensure each job is completed efficiently and to the customer’s satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely climb trees using appropriate techniques and equipment (ropes, harnesses, etc.)
- Prune, trim, and remove branches or entire trees as needed
- Operate chainsaws, hand saws, and other equipment
- Inspect trees for disease, pests, and structural integrity issues
- Ensure all work follows safety guidelines and arboriculture best practices
- Work with ground crew to ensure the safe and efficient removal of debris
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide professional recommendations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a tree climber or in a similar role
- Knowledge of tree care techniques and equipment
- Familiarity with the use of chainsaws, ropes, and rigging
- Strong attention to safety protocols and best practices
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
- ISA Certified Arborist or willingness to obtain certification is a plus
- Physical fitness and stamina to climb and lift heavy equipment
- Valid driver’s license is required.
